Methods used in the laboratory

Following stroke, there is some motor recovery. Numerous studies suggest that this recovery is supported by plasticity or adaptive reorganization of distant, intact areas in the brain. We are studying the mechanisms that are supporting this motor recovery and are investigating new approaches to maximize this recovery.

A) Daily neural recordings in awake animals
B) Recordings and stimulations in acute preparations
C) Neuroanatomy
